There are ways to slow it, delay its start, stop it for a few hours, and end it early. You would have needed to start before the day you wanted it to happen, though.
Ibuprofen in large, frequent doses is /can be effective (remember they give large doses for extreme pain and after surgery, so it is safe for a day or two).
Red Raspberry Leaf tea/supplements may work as well. Larger doses of B vitamin, eating lemon (not just sucking the juice) and clear, plain gelatin mix that you get in the baking aisle can work as well.
There are others that elude me right now. Google and you will see the things I listed here plus a few more.
These may not work for everyone but they DO work for some if done at the right rime. I was able to delay mine for three days a few times, I stopped it early several times and slowed it to barely there for a day in the middle a couple of times.
Some girls love Diva cups, but they are completely worthless for my heavy days. Still, look them up, too.
