Don't worry so much about your abs. Especially as a beginner you want to train your whole body because it helps prevent injury latet on and allows you to safely and properly perform the more intermediate to advanced workouts later on which will get you to your appearance goals. Muscle imbalances are a very very bad thing.

well you already have abs, it's usually just covered by a layer of fat, making them less visible.
what you need to do is lower your body fat % and perform some abs/core workouts that will give them tone and definition

Crunches will build your abs. There's usually quite a few machines that do the abs.
HOWEVER!
You can have the most awesome abs ever and nobody will be able to see them if your body fat percentage is too high.
