Why did I throw up after taking Vitamin C and Zinc?

I've had a really bad cold for five days now and a bad chesty cough and my throat is so sore. I've been taking vitamin C all day and Last night I woke up and took an dissolvable vitamin C and zinc pill which was 1000mg. I also took an evening primrose oil pill and then had bad diharrea and vomited three times

Why did I vomit after taking vitamin C?

Well its a mixture of a lot of things:

1. The bad cold in general
2. Lack of sleep
3. Eating heavier foods
4. Taking the Vitamin C because of it being acidic. Also at 1000mg is too much.
5. Zinc pills at the same time as the Vitamin C was a no-no.
6. Taking primrose oil pill was not a smart idea.

Lay off those supplements for a while until you're done with your cold. Always talk with your doctor first. STAY out of that shower, and wash up at the sink. Always dress comfortability. That is why your dealing with that cold like that.

You may Have an Infection and May also Need... To see your Doctor.
Perhaps you didn't Eat Enough or just Nothing and your Tummy is Empty, and if so, You will Throw up or even feel Nauseous. xx

Its an acid so it irritates your stomach. And it could be the combination with the oil pill that gave a chemical reaction in your body

Took how many times?
The maximum recommended intake of vitamin C is 2000mg but the general recommendation is 500mg a day max, overdose leads to diarrhea and nausea and in extreme cases even kidney damage.

you know one vit c pill contains more than 10 times your daily needs so even without being sick your body would just pass it through your urine. dont waste your money. just eat better

Eat when you're hungry? Personally, I stay away from those supplements. They're all garbage. Just my controversial opinion!

Not sure why you throw up. I'd say take your vitamins, also eat bell peppers. The brighter colored ones have more vitamins in them, drink more orange juice.

It wasn't due to vitamins, just natural thing when you're ill.
