No, hourglass is a body shape, it has nothing to do with weight or body fat.

A person can be an hourglass and be fat or have an hourglass and be thin.

I think being an hourglass nowadays is associated with being fat because being curvy is considered a bad thing

You are only fat if you are living an unhealthy lifestyle. Some people are naturally curvy, especially women. That does not make them fat, they just have that type of body. A good example is Khloe Kardashian. She is naturally curvy, & some idiots call her fat for that. But she is not fat, she works out & takes good care of herself. She is just naturally bigger & doesn't have a petite body figure. Also, it doesn't matter if others consider you fat, what matters is how you view yourself.

sometimes,depends on how fit you are,hourglass means you have wide hips and bigger boobs+small waist,it can go both ways,you can be skinny and fat and still have an hourglass figure

You can have Curves and be fat or skinny.

But these things are body shapes and proportions...it doesn't determine fatness..
