Thank you :)
Any pet ideas to fit my lifestyle..dog, cat, other?
Thank you :)
Cats are great! You just have to find the right one. I have had many cats in the past and I have one now as well. They are super loving and playful. My cat will follow me around the house and sleep with me too. The best part is that you can find a great cat anywhere. I have rescued 1 from outside, and the rest I had I got from the shelter. I never have had a problem with any of them.also they can read your emotions, when you have had a bad day they will run right up to you and make you forget your crappy day. The same goes for dogs. I have had dogs too and they are just as great. But if you plan on flying on a plane you need to be careful about what breed of dog you get because some breeds are not allowed on. I would not recommend a rodent or a reptile because they are not affectionet animals and I would not get any barn animals.
I have both and I love them both. Cats can be trusted and they are very smart. My cat is a big teddy bear and very affectionate. My dog is my shadow and also very affectionate. If your going to travel a lot and take your pet with you I say a dog can handle it much better then a cat. travel really stresses a cat out. Dogs love to travel and go on adventures. If your going to leave your pet at home then cats do better alone. Dogs need to be let out to go to the bathroom( they also get into trash)and cats don't. Go with a small dog. :)
good to know. what kind of cat is it? thanks
I have a orange tabby that's huge about 20lbs or more(not fat, length wise he stretches from the top of my head to my waist and I am 5'4). I think Its just how I raised him that he likes to cuddle so much lol.
I don't like cats.. But it sounds like you need an animal that is independent. And that would be a cat. They pretty much do everything for themselves, other than clean the litterbox and such.
get a rat terrier, they are about the size of a cat, but of course they are dogs

how cute :)
yeah I was refferring to the whole baby carrier idea nice haha
You can't just go by the species, because they have their own personalities (my sister just adopted a cat, and he's actually very affectionate). You have to take breed into consideration too. I suggest going to a shelter and checking out a bunch of different cats and dogs. That way, you can see how you get along with them before bringing one home.
good point
what kind of cat was it?
Um, a very cute one? lol I know a lot about dog breeds, but I was never into cats before she brought him home, so I don't know anything about their breeds.
lol
Cats are actually very trusted animals! If you travel a lot and want a pet I suggest you get a cat or a small dog both are portable and both will be loyal to you. If you choose a small dog over a cat try to get a calm dog, so the traveling will be less stressful for it, also it's OK to get a timid dog because it will eventually calm down. If you choose a cat over a small dog try to get a calm cat that is NOT timid, I have a timid cat and it's very stressful for him to travel, sometimes he will actually pee in the carrier, which is something you probably wouldn't want to clean up. I have both a dog and two cats so I hope this helped!
I trust my cat, some of the time. Depends on the cat though. Cats are loyal and smart and like to do their own thing. They don't all like to be lazy. Some are good at traveling you just need to get them used to it. Dogs are fun because they are playful and very outgoing, but each pet can be nice or mean. Since I am a cat person, I say get a cat. They are wise, sweet, cuddly, don't smell as bad and don't need as much attention as a dog but some (like mine are oddly high maintenance.
If you travel a lot, I would definitely not recommend getting a pet.
What about a hampster?
