Does anyone else get tonsil stones?

Guys / girls, do you ever get tonsil stones?

- what's your frequency of occurrence?

- how do you deal with / treat them?

For me, they show up every month or or 6 weeks. Most of the time I accidentally sneeze them out, or accidentally swallow them. ACCIDENTALLY, being the key word.

Some quick research showed the easiest way to get rid of them is with an oral irrgator. Probably the cheapest thing to do is get a syringe (no needle please), fill it with water and blast it at the stone. A friend of mine had one once and she had the doc take it out. Probably just a matter of grabbing it with forceps. If you attempt this on your own I'd be very careful not to yank it out and cause corresponding damage to your tonsil.
