Is excess skin a deal breaker??

I have recently lost a lot of weight. I don't have any drooping skin but the area around my belly button makes my belly button appear long rather than round. If I pull my skin pack a tad(not much) it appears fixed. There is slight hanging below the arms. I go to the gym constantly to try and tone it. Is it disgusting? Maybe I would have been better off fat?
