How can I learn who I am with five words you might ask...
Well, everyone has insecurities. Everyone has doubts. Everyone has emotional problems of some kind. But everyone also has good qualities, talent, and emotional strengths. I, myself, have struggled with insecurity issues, and it took me a long, long time to find out who I am. But I would like to share with you all a simple technique that I used to improve myself. To fight my insecurities. And to solve most of my emotional setbacks. I hope you all can see what I mean in this advice and improve your own lives:
First, make a list of all of your insecurities.
Ask the question- What do I dislike about myself? Write down everything that comes to mind.
Second, make a list of all of your good qualities.
Ask the question- What do I like about myself? If nothing comes to mind, ask your family members and closest friends what they like best about you. Write these things down.
Third, think of all the emotional problems that you have.
Think of the things about you that have ruined or put an end to your past friendships/relationships. Do you have anxiety? Anger issues? Are you too dependent? Write down all of the things that apply to you. And also, once you find out who you are, you may find ways to improve these things or at least control them so that they don't have a negative impact on your life any more.
Fourth, think of all of your emotional strengths.
The things that have gotten you to success in life so far. The things that have gottem you long lasting friendships/relationships. Are you funny? Caring? Helpful? Write down all of the things that apply to you.
Finally, think back to all of the major experiences in your past.
Write down certain situations that have taught you life lessons and shaped you into the person you are today. Write them down, and why they were important to you, and why you remembered them.
Now, read over your list. This list defines who you are. Read over it as many times as it takes and think deeply about it. Think of five or less words that sum up this whole list. Five or less words that sum up your life. Five words that are YOU, they are your very existence. Think of these five words as your second name- your identity. These five words display the good things about you, and remind you of the bad- and how to control them.
