What's the difference between Mountain, Hill, Mound and Knoll?

  • A mountain is formed from tectonic plates or something.
    A hill is just a bump in the dirt/landscape.
    A mound is usually a pile of something, so I guess in a landscape it'd be a pile of dirt.
    And a knoll is the same thing as a hill, but sometimes used to describe a small one.
