I like to switch it up... sometimes I will wear mascara and eyeliner and some blush, sometimes I will wear nothing. I personally think that whole contouring business and girls who put foundation ALL over their face is not for me. I like the way I look and want the guy I am dating to see the real me, plus it is a pain in the ass to take off at night. The only time I have had a full face of makeup like that was for a wedding party where I got my makeup done professionally. I never would overfill my eyebrows like the girls on instagram do either. Simplicity is better in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure he loves the way I naturally am though. He doesn't understand why I'm so insecure but makeup is something I use to enhance my natural beauty. I dislike makeup shaming; lots of people do it. Makeup is girly and fun, but I agree that natural is better. Also I do wear a moderate amount of makeup sometimes. I'm just super girly which is why I wear it
@sweetlivy I completely understand and up until maybe two years ago I used to not be able to go out without makeup on. I think if you can be confident without it then you are doing yourself a a huge favor
When women say without, they mean it. But men don't really know about makeup, so I'm guessing they're voting without because they don't know what without actually looks like.
Men like minimal or "natural looking" makeup, they just THINK that it's no makeup. You'd be surprised how many men will see a woman with eyeliner, foundation and nude lipstick yet no eyeshadow and mistakenly think she's not wearing makeup lol
This of course doesn't apply to all men or all women. So shut up you special snowflakes. I'm talking about the average man and woman
Maybe virgin guys but anyone who has actually had a girlfriend knows what it looks like without, come on it's not that hard to tell unless you're literally blind.
But I think there has been some study that showed a disconnect between what guys say about this and what they actually "do"...
@frozenhorizon no. Lol most men are clueless in that regard.
And yes, I'd agree with that study. I'm not even going to get into that. Lots of men say they prefer no makeup yet they will holla and look your way if you wear it.
I don't think they're clueless about what they actually see, they just lie / say something inconsistent with their behavior when in real life situations.
Tbh, I think just about every adult on the planet will look a little better with make up than without. I say this because very few people have 'perfect' skin, and human attractiveness is measured, among other ways, by clear skin. We associate it with healthiness (good genes) So, a face without acne scars, hyperpigmentation, or dark circles is going to look better than one with those things.
I like girls who make choices based on what THEY want for themselves instead of what other people who have no idea what they're talking about think.
It's your time your money your effort. You choose
Usually "with" in my case, but I think you biased your poll by using a girl who already looks great without.
Of course there are some girls who are so pretty without make-up, like Rose Byrne here:

In such cases I prefer "without", but in this case she's such a natural beauty. Most of the time I think girls look better with a touch of make-up.
Might try this one and see which one guys prefer:

I think a lot of guys are also oblivious when girls are wearing light make-up. It's similar to my field of work. I work in visual effects for films, television, games, and so forth. A lot of people think they absolute hate CG in films and TV. What they usually mean by that is stuff they can obviously recognize as CG. The majority of the CG they see every day is actually stuff they won't even realize is CG.

Make-up is similar as I see it.
Which explains that the core purpose of clothes, hairstyles and makeup are to compete against other women... and not for men. An equivalent among men are body builders.

This intimidates women. Men do this to compete with other men.

I don't discriminate the added benefit of makeup if that's the question... I's not like it's a requisite but girls do look prettier with makeup, it's just the way it is. You may look pretty without it, and kudos if you do but for me makeup isn't a problem and can make you look great. Besides to shut down misconception. Reality is you have to actually be pretty AROUND the makeup, makeup dosen't build you a new face, it merely smoothes out the edges. If one cannot realize how a girl looks like and is blinded into thinking she is pretty is an idiot. And probably a little blind

Makeup is fine as long as I don't notice anything the girl has on as too overbearing. That is a distraction and puts me off.
I see girls' points about men never really knowing whether a girl has makeup or not and often mistake natural makeup for "no makeup".
Seemingly without makeup seems to be the sweet spot for many.
I dislike the makeup look more then the natural look.
But then again since girls are clever tricksters when it comes to makeup and making girls think its natural ill admit i probably prefer there tricks over the natural beauty they conceal because it does look better.
Some girls look great without makeup, while others absolutely have to have it. There are those who are so good with it, you can't even tell they have it on; and others who use it to basically disguise their natural look.
I would prefer someone who looks good with or without it. Sometimes you have to get used to the "without" look, but they might look great without it after a while. Or, you'll find her so awesome, it won't matter whether she wears it or not.
Without all that fancy blush, and eye shadow. But I feel almost 90% of ladies look bland without eyeliner.
Realtalk.
Left: girl is a 6, maybe? Right, 8. Hell, you could argue a 9.
Makeup seems like a nuclear arms race. It's as if a guy put on fake muscles, shoes with 2 inch heels, and a rolex every day.
Girls with makeup done proper are more attractive. Note: done proper. Your skin hopefully doesn't look like the texture of a marshmallow.
So do I. Marshmallows should be marshmallows. Skin should look like skin.
You might feel differently if you could see their bodies. If they're the same person then the makeup won't make much difference.
Boys don't know what they like. It's only "bare face looks better" until that bare face has flaws they don't like... such as acne scars, discoloration, undereye bags.
They like natural looking makeup.
mahah girly... it's fun to play this game if you've got pics/quizzes handy. It's teh same thing with boys who say they just OMG SO HATE breast implants, nad that such a thing would just be SUUUCH A DEALBREAKER.
That's a fun conversation.
boy: "ughh implants are such consummate fakeness, I would 'next' that girl immediately"
... you: "oh? can you even tell?"
boy: "of course I can"
... you: [gives quiz]
[boy gets 50%, give or take a little]
... you: "ok, so, clearly you CAN'T tell."
boy: "Oh, I mean, I like women whose natural breasts are so weirdly perfectly round that they don't even look natural. ... yeah, that's what I meant. but still all natural."
... you: "Oh by the way... THESE two women you're presenting as "naturally beautiful"... they got implants breh"
LMAO
I mean, these kinds of boys will NEVER ADMIT that their "preferences" are illusory defense mechanisms. You can get them to the point where they are ACTUALLY DEFENDING statements like,
"yes, I like the abstract idea of 'natural' breasts, even though I'm rlly attracted to perfectly round resting boob shapes that almost don't even exist in nature. And I HATE push-up bras, even though I like cleavage, even though deep cleavage absolutely NEVER exists in nature except in morbidly obese women."
I mean...
you are soooo totally just 1 or 2 steps away from seeing this boy argue, in all seriousness, that he likes the IDEA of 'no make-up', as presented by women who ARE wearing make-up (that he just can't tell is there) in a sufficiently thin layer over skin that already starts out preternaturally perfect, BUT THAT RLLY THIS IS MOST SRSLY IMPORTANT to him.
It's also entertaining when boys talk about how "women hit the wall at 23", and then proceed to list a bunch of Victoria's Secret angels (average age: 30 years) as their ideals of female beauty.
BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS that you will never ever encounter these boys in real life, because they don't go out and, like, socialize.
With, but not too much. Some chicks lay it on and look kinda whorish..
I like feminine girls who take care of themselves, and while 10 coats of paint is not exactly hot a small amount of make up shows you care about looking good and you have healthy girly interests, so yes as long as you use realistic amounts of makeup its appreciated and attractive.
If you can't or you're going somewhere were no makeup is needed its cool guys dont mind.
With makeup, but ideally when used in moderation.
So I would like her skin would to be somewhat clear without makeup and she would use eyeshadow, light lipstick, and a little blush on the cheeks to subtly enhance her natural beauty. I think that looks better than no-make up at all.
I do like both.. I would leave it to the girl's mood.. I know that sometimes girls needs to dress up and put make up coz it feels nice.. That i would enjoy.. but when she wanna be all natural , i would def. enjoy it too.. I just don't like when the girl are too tied to the make up and doesn't have any self confidence without it...
Girls who wear a lot of makeup i often judge as being more arrogant or insecure. That's likely a very un-fair generalization but i can't help but think that. girls who wear a bit or none at all... they just seem a lot more 'real' and a potential dating partner.
I like it natural. No make-up, no piercings, no tattoos, no hair extensions, no painted finger nails or toe nails, no other body modifications. Just the way she was born. It's a purist attitude what I like it that way.
Either one can potentially be attractive. It depends on the person.

They like girls who look NATURALLY but extraordinary BEAUTIFUL.
I don't like plastic looking skin. It's always funny to see a full body image of a model with a plastic makeup face and go to the chest, legs and feet and see normal skin, even though the skin on the body is probably touched up a bit
I want a girl who looks as good as girls who wear makeup, without makeup.
Unless she literally wears makeup 24/7, in which case it doesn't matter because I'll rarely see her without it anyway.
Without make up is more natural and healthy. But modern trend is that perception is beauty , so women who put make up are perceived to look more perfect. This trend should end. And women who are naturally beautiful should be given more important.
Don't really care as long as
1. Her look fits the occasion
2. She is confident both ways
3. I get to come home and snuggle up to a clean face
Other than those 3 ... whateves...
adriana lima looks great without it but most girls don't.
