No, it's not. It's not slim, or skinny, but you're an athlete. You're perfectly healthy. The BMI index is sometimes under fire because it doesn't take muscle into consideration and can call perfectly healthy girls overweight, but in this case, that just proves you're absolutely in the clear. A BMI of 25+ is considered 'Overweight'. Not obese, but enough you should look into shedding a few pounds.
You? Come in at a perfectly safe 24. You're healthy. Anyone calling you fat can go stuff it. If YOU want, you could try and lose a little weight, but it would only be for your sense of self. You are NOT fat, you are NOT unhealthy.
By the way, the guy who claims girls at 5'7'' should be 133? They CAN be 133. However, that's a BMI of 20.8. Health professionals advise keeping your BMI above 20. Look up body types, because Ectomorph and Endomorph body types do not weigh the same and expecting them to is ridiculous.
Besides, most guys claim 'Curvy' is the preferred figure, yet they expect girls to have the weight of a long, thin body type? Get it together, chumps. It doesn't work that way.

That sounds perfectly fine to me, especially if you're an athlete because it's likely that you have a lot of muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you probably don't even look your weight. I weigh more than I look because I built up a lot of muscle playing soccer for years and years. I don't play anymore, but that kind of muscle density doesn't just go away so easily, especially if you're still moderately active.
It could be a lot or just fine depending on how you are carrying the weight. Maybe find somewhere (a gym or dietician) who can calculate your body fat percentage. I think you will find that more informative because as others stated muscle weighs more than fat. Don't rely on one of those scale looking think outside places like GNC to give you the correct percent, they can be inaccurate if you are dehydrated at all.
Ya it kinda alot, bit if you got speed and a good shot you shouldn't have a problem. It's pretty common knowledge women's basketball players aren't the thinnest. But just keep working on it and you'll be fine. If your good on the fundamentals you should have no problem. 20 pounds isn't a whole lot but just try and lose a couple lbs.
Good Luck !

A little on the heavy side but still perfectly fine and very attractive. You're not fat. Don't gain much more I'd say.

You sound athletic enough that I would not be worried. Your weight is just fine :).
If you are worried about it, and want to lose a few for your own peace of mind, cut out anything with added sugar, and cut out most bread. What I do, is I will allow myself 2 slices of whole wheat bread per day. If I eat it in a sandwich at lunch, I won't have any the rest of the day.
Eat meals of high quality protein.thats really fat. a 5'7 chick needs to be 133. lose 20 lbs as soon as you can.
what is "travel" basketball?
if you play ball, why aren't you losing weight? you're already excersing, so just lay of the soda pop, ice cream and candy. then you should be fine.No. A lot is like >180lbs for your height. I'm guessing you have heavy bones and you are quite muscular. I'm 5'5, quite active in sports, but weigh at the heavier side according to my bmi despite not looking fat. Maybe more details about your diet, lifestyle and all will help our analysis?
Muscle weighs more than fat. And since you mentioned you play travel basketball, I'm pretty sure it's muscle. I'm 5'8 and weigh between 139-143, depends on what I eat that week haha. I also play select volleyball, so I have to eat certain foods. Don't feel insecure! 153 is not big.
Hmm, well I'm 5'7.5 and I weigh just under 130. That said, I'm not exactly well muscled, and if you play a lot of basketball then you probably have more muscle mass than me. I'd probs guess you at the larger side of average, but not fat.
That sounds fine, esp. since you are so active. Most of your weight is probably muscle, so I wouldn't worry about it.
I don't think so. Maybe some girls that height way less, I'm not sure, but you sound awesome!
it's probably muscle weight. You're not huge, you're perfectly normal. Flaunt it girly!
it depends if its fat or muscle. I weigh 140lbs and I'm 5'3 but I have like zero fat on me whereas my friend is the same weight and height but hers is fat. seeing how you play basketball I doubt that it's fat so I think you're alright
If you play a lot of Basketball that could be a lot of muscle weight. If you go by the misleading BMI you're still in the regular range.
that guy who said you're fat is a shallow douchebag. most athletes weigh more because muscle weighs more than fat. that's an average weight. don't worry that's not fat.
how big are your breasts? not a perv question but they do carry weight too. D cups could weigh over 10-15 lbs (both breasts)
No its not. You are fine. I'm about 5'8" annd 145. I'm pretty muscular as I'm guesing you are.
You're ideal weight is between 127 and 159lbs.
Nahh, you probably are built on muscle.
Nope, you're a healthy weight at the moment.
