What are fun things to do for senior skip day?

My schools senior skip day is Monday, but my friends and I are struggling to think of things to do. Right now our two ideas are either to go to six flags or two go to the beach. But, it may be stormy on Monday, which would mean neither idea would work. Does anyone have any really fun ideas? (for both good weather or bad weather) I live near Manhattan if that helps (but just going into the city shouldn't be a suggestion, I've been twice in the past two weeks it's nothing special unless you say something specific that's fun we can to there) thanks!

I am not going to assume that you have fake IDs nor suggest you get them, so Manhattan rooftop pools are out. Arguably you could have non-alcoholic drinks but you'd anyway be stuck looking at older "beautiful people" who drink.

A pretty awesome punk fashion exhibit at the Met, if that is not too gentrified (or the boys rebel against it).

I could say a photo shoot with a pro photographer (lots of props, etc) - but (being one) that would cost more than six flags and (if you actually want results) would probably be more work and less fun for some in the group.

You can also ride on The Beast around Manhattan, go to a shooting range, laser tag or paintball.

Well, last year for my senior skip day, literally all of the seniors went to this one guy's house. We had a BBQ/cookout. He had a pool so we all went swimming. There were games, a pool table, ping pong, and cornhole set up. Lots of pictures were taken which was awesome because it was pretty much the last time my senior class was together (besides graduation night).

College made everyone go separate ways so, it was a really fun day just having all of the seniors together before we graduated. You don't have to go out somewhere to have fun on senior skip day. And plus, I live in a very rural town in Virginia, so I have no idea what there is to do where you live.

I lived in a very small town so there wasn't much to do, and this probably won't help. My class ended up actually having two senior ditch days, both were kind of unplanned. One day the weather was bad outside, and we skipped class to watch movies and eat somewhere secluded on campus (almost got busted, but it worked out). The other day the weather was warmer and we went out to a creek and hung out for the day. If I were you I would go ahead and plan what you're wanting to do just in case the weather ends up being nicer, but come up with a back-up plan that would be easy to transition to if it does start to storm.

But jokes aside, we went down to the St. Augustine beach (it was pretty shitty weather), and walked around the town. Historical stuff, ocean stuff. Pretty fun time, from what the little bit I can remember.

I went to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on my senior skip day last year. It's like a theme park on the beach so it was cool. We didn't have to worry about storms because they just don't happen in California in May.

You could always do a scavenger hunt in town. Or do some fun college student games like Chinese Fire Drill or car jousting. That would be hard to do in the rain though. Perhaps you could do social experiments in the mall in another town.

I have my kid a pool party at my house for her and her friends. They were all gonna skip anyway and at least I knew where they were. Plus I knew I didn't have to go retrieve them from the truancy officer 😂

How about somebody throwing a BBQ / party at someone's house for a lot of the seniors to go to? Everybody can pitch in $5-10 a person and have an awesome party! :)

How about go to class? I always viewed senior ditch day as a day for people who lacked independence to "rebel" by doing what everyone else is doing. When I didn't feel like going to class I wouldn't go. You shouldn't need a special "day" for it.

My class went to a lake. One suggestion: don’t bring alcohol, because we had a real problem with tons of people being drunk who then couldn’t drive home.
