I got raped when I was passed out drunk, I'm scared and sick, what should I do?

I've been sexually harassed multiple times throughout my childhood, but never raped. I don't remember it, but I feel so sick and I throw up whenever it comes to mind and I don't know what to do..Has this happened to anyone else?

Most likely as many gals are raped. Hasn't happened to me though as I follow what I find the only true rape prevention advice- don't hang around guys that way I can't be raped if I'm not around those that are most likely to be rapists aka males.

In my opinion it's suited to keep this to yourself and whatever therapist/counselor you likely are best suited to seek. Most likely if you tell you'll be victim-blamed and shamed for being drunk since going by society apparently being drunk = you're fault you're raped. As well as it's highly unlikely you'll get justice for this as even if you have dna evidence it's your word against his and studies show most people are bias against female rape victims.

I don't know what cold alien universe you dwell in but the law takes rape allegations very, very seriously; especially statutory rape which this young girl may very well be the victim of.

This is the year 2013, not the 50's. People are much more understanding and responsive.

Perhaps in your experience the law takes rape allegations very very seriously however going by common and often encouraged police procedure to make the alleged victim recant before looking at evidence and how studies show most rape cases aren't tried I hold a different one

People are likely much more understanding and responsive in 2013 then they were in the 50s however that's not saying much considering victim-blaming and shaming seems quite prevalent and incidents like Steubenville.

Did this just happen to you? If so, you should go to the police immediately so they can collect as much evidence as possible. Bring a friend or trusted adult with you for support if you don't want to go alone.

It has not happened to me but I was attacked once and fought him off. I know people who have been drugged and raped.

I should add that the hotline is free and confidential. It is not a number to the police but is a nonprofit set up to assist victims.

I'd still go to the police. You never know what they may piece together. I also think calling the hotline would be beneficial. A friend of mine was drugged and raped and she's found the community at RAINN to be very helpful.

Why are you telling us? You should be telling the authorities and talking to your loved ones.You seem well enough to write this,so take that energy and go to someone who can really help.

Secondly,this is precisely why under 18 year olds SHOULDN'T drink or at least shouldn't be allowed to.Alcohol can be as terrible as drugs.Sorry that happened to you.Go tell the police and your parents.

I was told by the guy who did it, and at first I didn't believe him, but then other people that were at the party told me, so honestly they could be messing with me, but yes the thought of that happening to me is sickening because I am a virgin (besides that) and I've never even kissed a guy and just yeah..Hah

Yes it matters in MY opinion.Sadly,poor decisions like underage drinking often leads to issues like this.Did you NOt hear about that girl most recently in the news who was either drunk or drugged and these two boys were molesting her?Its unbelievable to me how these situations happen,and you still got kids who think its smart to go drinking who are under 18.Bad decisions sometimes leads to other...bad decisions.Tell the police.
