I’ve been emotionally committed to a guy for almost 3 years, I don’t think he ever emotionally committed to me though. We went on a 4 dates when we first met & never slept together. He’s stayed in touch with me on FaceTime through a deployment & him moving across the country. Emotionally were closer than ever, we talk for hours multiple days a week, but he recently told me he doesn’t want a LDR so I told him I’d move & he didn’t say anything about it. I know he’ll continue to call & share with me like I’m his girlfriend, but he isn’t moving this forward or willing to try.

I really love him so I don’t want to cut him out, but I don’t see another option except saying “Unless you’re ready to commit or give me real space in your life, please don’t call me”.

I’m looking for a man’s perspective, please give me advice or say what you think I should do.

Me= I was going to say that no matter what, you don't need my permission for that. Sure it's uncomfortable, to be honest, but I would never stop someone from being friends or anything with someone.

Story = so in 2023 me and this guy Luke dated from May- August, but broke up because he says he had issues with his family and work and is so stressed and can't jungle everything rn or give me the kind of man I want rn. So I thought that I should not be a burden and just accept his excuse and break up. During the first week we were dating , I had asked my friends if they knew him. my best friend sayd she knows him and that they had a small crush on each other when they were teenagers and he had kissed her on the cheek and run. I felt uncomfortable and even tho I had began to like Luke a lot, I was ready to end it, but then my best friend sayd that I don't need to end it because they don't have feelings for each other and that I should not let it come between me and love. So I trusted her words, but still felt uncomfortable and wanted to hear Luke's side of the story too if he likes her or if they were together of something long ago. He sayd no and a assured me that it was just a small crush back then and he doesn't feel anything for her. So I trusted him and felt less ucomfortable.

I have to ask as there’s this stupid shit of situationship and friends with benefits thats popular and guys don’t want a girlfriend and just act like it but say they are single that’s why I need ask this question 😓

we spent 3 days together at his place , not much sex at all, but mostly seeing movies, talking, eating , cuddling , massaging , driving to stores , we have had one date so far as it’s barely 2nd weekend of meeting.
now we r meeting weekly at his place sleeping together in his bed at night. Then breakfast and get ready wake up together next day.

maybe next week will be another date and I plan cook him something and bring it to him as we don’t live together yet but spending time on weekend only.

I agree because have you noticed a lot of the women here post things about sleeping with men on the first date, strange men they met online, exchanging nudes with strangers, and constantly say things that are sexualy for male attention?

Why is she a red flag:

1. She is being manipulative. Dont trust the "sure I'm down for friends with benefits." It's a lie. She likes you and feels if she does this, you will EVENTUALLY like her back. When you don't, she will get angry.

2. Sometimes, women have sex with you immediately because we don't like you , lol. Yes, it's true. You're sexually attractive, but we don't see you as a long-term partner, so we have sex with you to get you out of hair.

3. She's having sex with you to trap you. She thinks sex with you will make you stick around because she knows sex is hard to come by for a man. Men are constantly rejecting or fear rejection, so they won't bother approaching a woman. Instead, a man will pay for sexual services before he is faced with rejection. It's a blow to the ego.

4. If she's this easy with you, she's easy with everyone else. She's not a woman who has a back bone, she's a doormat, has low self-esteem, self-worth, and weak genetics that can get passed on to your child. Let's face it, this is a survival of the fittest world. You want a woman who will reject other men when not in your presence. Not one who gets weak at the knees for everyone, man, that gives he 1 strand of attention.

5. Last but not least.. Are you ready.. Studies have confirmed that ugly women are more likely to be cheaters than beautiful women. Beautiful women have high self esteem, self worth, and are used to being hit on by men, so rejecting men who are not of quality comes easy to a beautiful woman. Yet beautiful women get a bad rep from men and accused of cheating because men often throw themselves at her.
