These days being versatile seems to be a lost art, if you ask me. It seems that everybody these days are 1 trick ponies and hell they can barely even stand on that/their 1 leg, right? Then they wonder why they can't keep a convo going "ITS BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT" or "you can't connect/relate to the person that you're talking to".

It usually shows when people wonder why did ____ quit hanging out with me. Simple it's "Because they found a fun/interesting person to hang with. Sorry the truth hurts right, and I've said it once and I'll say it again, the moment that someone thinks this about you "Yeah I know everything there is to know about ___ is the moment they leave you for that next exciting/Spontaneous person".

I'm sure we've all seen it happen right, were 1 of our friend are heartbroken because ___ decided to quit calling/hanging out with them. They fail to realise that they have nothing "NEW" to offer that person which made them stray away. Let's be honest for 1 second here "NO-ONE wants to hang around someone that they feel is boring right?

My husband is a nerd and one of the things I have always loved about him is that he *always* has something interesting to talk about. He is always reading something and keeps up on current events. He is also funny and pleasant to be around. I'm not sure he is particularly versatile, but we have similar interests because I'm pretty nerdy myself. So you can work on being a jack of all trades or you can try to find people you have something in common with.

Myself, I can talk to almost anyone and don't mind doing that. My husband generally lets me do the talking for him because he really hates dealing with most people.

I don't see where there has to be one right answer, you know? Just do what works and if what you're doing isn't working, decide whether or not it's worth the investment of changing how you're doing things.

I'd say part of getting along is seeing everybody as unique, and molding yourself as appropriate. As an example, if a person hates sports, then don't talk about sports with them. If a person likes cooking, but hates rap music, then talk to them about cooking, but not rap music.
