Good take - I never believe that the men cheat more theory, I felt it was more likely to be around equal - Very much so the bit about divorce, it should be fairer - I am not against women, I just think it should be fairer.

I have however expected some differences in why men ANA women cheat in particular what drives them to cheat (for example lack of sex for guys and lack of emotional comfort for women) and why some say gender Z cheats more often.

But I do not like cheaters. For me, I would be in a menage relationship, so cheating would be harder since everyone in the relationship is free game and need to discuss adding another person to the relationship. Could go on, but it would get off topic.
My mom told me she cheated on my dad while she was pregnant with me "all the time" in her words. It doesn't even phase me. She had 3 kids by 3 men so I knew she was a whore. I more so felt sorry for her. It also made sense why she accused him of cheating every minute. She died a slow death of cancer 7 years ago today.

IN general it’s way way easier for women to cheat than men. If a man cheats he needs a side girl to be cool being the other women. Most aren’t. Most guys don’t mind being a side dish, so women have more people available to them...
All my friends including me have been cheated on my dad cheated on my mom my uncle cheated on my aunt and I have 3 friends with divorced parents why the dad cheated or left for another women my grandma was also cheated on lol this all probably seems like a lie but actually true
In my experience if you have to reassure people on the internet that your story is "actually true" than it's usually made up. Not saying your's is, but that's quite a stretch. If it isn't made up than you, your family, and friends have a habit of making poor choices in men.

"I have 3 friends with divorced parents why the dad cheated or left for another women." Are you sure they didn't just broke up and the guy was just trying to get over her so he was approaching another girl then accused of cheating? Saying "this all probably seems like a lie but actually true" doesn't really make you truthful. You're just letting out your experiences or first glance with men.

Within my circle of family and acquaintances there has been a lot of cheating over the past 10 years of so and in most cases it was the woman who cheated. The stereotype that men cheat more than women is simply false.

If a girl cheats, it can be justified sometimes with lies so she can't be recorded as a cheater in the statistics. Men usually don't bring up the fact that they've been cheated because of social shame.

I have been looking all around the place, and I can't find the exact GSS study about the subject. Usually the studies are available, containing ample data of where samples were taken. This is not available.
Which is pretty relevant, because if i wanted to make one gender look worse, I'd probably make conscious effort to pick people who are more likely to cheat.

Also. You conveniently forget that women file around 80% of divorces. I'd make the case that more men would divorce and find new partners, and less would cheat if divorce courts weren't soshould heavily slanted in women's favour.

That's a statistical impossibility, considering every time a man has +1 sexual partner, a woman has one too. This survey proves that men tend to exagerate,. and women tend to minimize their claimed sexual promiscuity. Meaning YES there is absolutely an incentive for women to lie even on an anonymous survey - because they feel guilty about it.

The statistics you showed me are based on a study of a survey about all words but no evidence so i don't guarantee everyone is being honest in that survey even if it's an anonymous survey because they are bias.

75% of men said yes.
68% of women said yes.
So I take that to mean that guys are 7% more likely to cheat.
But only the top 40% of men get to have relationships, compared to 80% of women. (Lots of women are apparently in harems.) So women have 2x as much opportunity to cheat.
I doubt everyone is being honest with that. I don't guarantee they're all claiming their gender when taking that survey. It's anonymous after all. I can give you another factor. Maybe guys are just more honest than girls.
Yes, unfortunately that's what separates the soft sciences from the hard sciences, but we don't get to have the information we want in life, we get to have the information that's available.
