For Christians who have struggled with heartbreak—you will make it though.

A few years ago, I was in a relationship with a young man from my church whom I loved very much. After two years, he left me for his coworker who also is a fellow church member. He soon married her and had a child. I dealt with deep rejection and scarring pain for a long time. I was devastated and heart broken. Now, I feel completely free from all the pain. Wasn’t sure I would see the day. God healed me completely and I’m happier and light in my heart because of His love and the time of waiting. God provided women for me to confide in who kept reminding me that I’d be healed.

He apologized to me a year after their marriage for the pain he caused. It was uncomfortable but it was a step toward healing.

Recently, this brother stopped coming to church and left the faith. I heard how they as a couple struggled and fought a lot. I didn’t want this to happen for them, but I think more than ever God has been revealing to me that he is saving me for something better. ♡

In this time of singleness, God has taught me a lot about myself and built some intestinal fortitude that I needed.

Your healing will come! Just wait on God and keep praying for it like I did. Trust me, I had days of doubt and that’s normal. But he will see you through!
