I think it depends on the person, although, I believe women can get over it easier since they can easily find someone after to help them forget.
In my country, the women seem to implode after a breakup.
The men seem to explode.
Interesting.
Men. I am actually the only woman in existence. All the rest are actually demons on a secret mission to keep me lonely and deprived of love so that I'll go crazy; for their own psychotic amusement.
Men, in my experience, hurt more.
Woman usually move on a lot faster, and find someone else a lot faster.
I think a good connection with the opposite sex means a lot more to men than it does to women. Women are emptier and will move on at any opportunity to find another man for new or more excitement.
I think the male suicide rates post breakup are telling
