Why does my ex constantly write on my friends' fb walls?

Me and my ex have been broken up for over a year, she left me and she knows I still care for her and want her back. We are not facebook friends, but she is constantly liking my friend's posts or writing on their walls, and I don't just mean one friend, I mean 2 or 3. They got along when her and I were together, but it's not like she ever really got close to any of them. We both moved to a different city shortly after we started dating, so she didn't really see them too often. So why would she be doing this? I feel like she wants to be in my line of sight, make sure I don't forget about her, or doesn't want me to move on. Any other ideas?

alright, I guess I'll be the asshole that says you are coming off as very petty and insecure.

firstly, you don't have to be super close to someone or BFFs to consider them a friend and you do realize just because they are your friends they can't be her friends too? maybe they keep in contact with each other because, they like each other and get along?

when she writes something on the friend's facebook wall it's a conversation between herself and that person. you just happen to be "over hearing" that conversation because you are "subscribed" to the activities on that's friends page.

the only way of stopping that is to tell one or the other that they cannot be friendly to each other or take their friendly chats to a personal message so you don't have to see it. or get over it. her keeping in contact with mutual old friends is not something that is a malicious attack against you.

2 or 3 friends isn't that bad either, considering that most facebook users have a couple hundred of friends, but I have to really wonder, if you broke up over a year ago why would something as silly as her talking to old friends even bother you? it sounds to me like you aren't over her.

First off, no I'm not over her. In fact I wrote that in my question: "she left me and she knows I still care for her and want her back." It is because she possesses this knowledge that I am curious if it has anything to do with why she is talking to my friends over fb; ie trying to get my attention. Secondly, I never once said in my question that they couldn't be friends. I never even said I had a problem with them talking. I was just asking WHY she has been talking to them lately. Thirdly, as

I was at my best friend's house last night, and he's like "your ex wrote on my wall again. It says she misses seeing me and she hopes all is good. Wtf?" He has no idea why she writes on his wall all the time or comments on his statuses or likes everything. HE is the one who told me about it, because he is just as confused as I am. Missed that first part so that was my bad. I still don't see how she is trying to get your attention by talking to a mutual friend though. It's not likely she knows when you sign in or if you will see a status update. Clearly she is talking to them (or trying to) because she wants to keep in contact with them or she finds what they post amusing. I'm not really sure what the deal is with your best friend either. If he doesn't appreciate her comments then why does he keep her as a friend? Infact..

why would he even tell you about those updates if he knows you aren't over her? He knows it's going to bother you so why bring that up? You know it's actually perfect normal for a chick to say "how's life? miss seeing ya" without any bad intentions behind it. It's normal, friendly, female behavior. If he is bothered by it why not just tell him to block her then? In contrast if it doesn't bother him why bring it to your attention? Seems like unnecessary torment to me, on your friend's part.

So yes, in terms of fb we have mutual friends, but in reality the people in question are my best friends and more like her acquaintances. And I post on their walls, particularly my friend I mentioned, all the time, so she does know I'm going to see them. Which is also why my best friend brought it up to me. It's not like he rushed to tell me about it, he just asked if I saw it. Because he knew if I hadn't already, than I would later on. And he doesn't delete he because it's not like he hates her

or anything. He was just kinda confused why she wrote something like that on his wall. And plus, unfortunately these days if you delete someone off fb, it becomes a big deal. He really has no reason to delete her. Look, I acknowledge the fact that her posting on my friends walls might mean nothing. But she has done other stuff too to suggest that she is either not over me, or doesn't want me to be over her, so I was confused and thought I'd ask. Isn't that the whole point of this site?

It could be either of the following reasons or a combination of the two:

(1) She could just be one of those people who likes to stay in touch with anyone she meets. I'm like that because I feel like it's a waste to let anyone out of your life that you get along with. Perhaps commenting on their wall posts and such is her way of trying to get to know them better as people.

(2) Yes, she probably does want to be in your line of sight. It's human nature to want to your ex that you still care about to think about you, especially if your ex avoids you and you're racking your brain trying to figure out why.

truthfully I feel that your right...my ex does that tooo...trys to get my attention with stuff she says...she wants me to come back to her and tell her , and beg her when she does stuff like that...

Yeah, they know out of sight, out of mind, so they make sure you're always aware of them. They want to have that kind of power over you, and unfortunately it works.
