Gut feeling my ex called me last night...?!?!

OK, so, at 11:30 last night I got a call from a private number. I NEVER receive calls with a private number. It rang only once before they Hung up (didn't get a chance to answer it).

Now, I realize that this could've been ANYONE and after how things ended with my ex prob shouldn't think it was him (been 2 months since NC) but I can't shake the feeling that it was him calling to see if I changed my number. People have been telling me that I probably didn't hear the last from him and that sometimes NC takes Awhile to work.

It is a strong gut feeling I have. What do you guys think about "gut"feelings?! Am I being crazy, or is the "gut"feeling right?

Anyone can be a bit paranoid and I won't deny some instances happened to me in the past, but you have to think this off also because this will do you no good at all..leave this as it is you can only confirm your beliefs if this number calls again or if you asked him directly..which is entirely up to you

Its not a gut feeling but more that you're waiting for his call still. If you were over him you would be indifferent to it. Maybe you should text him and ask so it doesn't keep eating at you.

Thanks for your answer...but I now realize it most likely was not him. I've never received another call like that. Fortunately, I'm doing a whole lot better and realize I'm better off with out him. I've also realized I was/am not missing HIM as much as I'm just missing having someone around. We've still had not communication since Jan.

Yeah one can just get used to the feeling of having someone around. That's how it was with my ex, we werent quite happy together or loved each other, we were just used to having each other around so we wouldn't be alone.

I agree with EZlats, you are over thinking it. Even if it was him doesn't matter. I have gotten curious myself bout my ex's and call them block. I would just leave it alone, if he has anything to say he will leave a message or talk to you but he hasn't. Keep doing what you are doing and live your life.

I think you are way over thinking this. It probably wasn't him and even if it was, he stopped the call, no message or anything. Just ignore it.

I'm sure it probably wasn't him, but like I said...can't shake the feeling it was. I can't really explain it. Just was wondering how often gut feelings are right I guess. I could care less if it was or wasn't him, nut am more curious. Thanks for your answer.

for your own piece of mind I would say yes its him and that he is missing you, no point in wondering , it won't do you good

Trust your gut feeling. It tries to tell your something. Do not ignore it, whether it's a good or bad feeling. This shit is real.
