Ex girlfriend holding on?

So my ex-girlfriend dumped me for someone else out of the blue. During the break up I told her I would need space and a lot of time, however at that time I didn't know she was leaving me for someone else. She was very serious about us staying friends. She literally committed on my fb 2 days later, which I felt didn't respect my boundaries. 5 months go by and we finaly talk about the relationship and I find out about the other person. She continued to see me as a good friend and refused to see me as an ex.

It's been close to a year since we broke up and she continues to love my posts and sometimes watch my stories. I don't understand how someone could leave a relationship so easily but beg and hold on so hard to friendship and try to stay in my life?

I don’t understand why you haven’t blocked her already? She’s an ex. Keeping tabs on her will only hurt you, cut you deeper and deeper. Do you want that? She clearly didn’t love you if she dumped you for someone else? Let her have that dude. You are no second choice. By liking your posts she’s just keeping you interested by not even trying hard. Now imagine yourself as expensive goods being sold for few cents? Aren’t you worth more... you need someone who will respect your value. AND THAT IS NOT HER.

She disrespected you and if it didn't work out with the last guy im sure she's feeling bad about what she did to youu and who knows maybe she wants to work her way up into trying things again. Personally i wouldn't be friends with her and let her know that she doesn't get to walk all over you like that and let her take control over what you two are. Unless you're okay with everything but if your not then I'd tell her that you two shouldn't be friends and its best to go your own ways

She most likely still cares for you despite things not working out. But I also think you're putting way too much thought into it. In your story- you said she left you for someone else.. meaning something was lacking in the relationship.
