My girlfriend of 16 months slept with her ex 1 day after we broke up, is that normal?

So to elaborate on my question, I am assuming this was pre-meditated and this girl has a lot of issues and demons she is still sorting out. She was very young and hell shit happens. But the fact, that she went back to a dude, that she told my family, her friends, and me that her ex was physically abusive and I heard stories that were sounding like sexual assault. So yea... it hurts, but lesson learned. If the first to the second thing they tell you is a lie, in this case, she told me she was 21 but actually, she was 18 when we started dating and I was 22, how is that a good foundation for trust?

At the end of the day, I'm over it. Never beat yourself up over anyone that discards you like that. And also, red flags! Make sure to always watch out for red flags. I was nieve and I guess I paid the price.

Most girls hold on to their exes like they were this amazing person in their lives when really they were the biggest piece of shit there was , , so by her having sex with him right after you broke up was something she had initiated before hand or she used him as a rebound saying to herself I am single now and I can do what I want , it just shows what kind of person she is , basically a piece of shit , be thankful you aren’t with her anymore , a girl that holds onto an ex isn’t a keeper what so ever , Move on and find someone that doesn’t hold on to their ex , When a girl enters a new relationship the same as you , and she constantly talks about her ex it’s time for you to end that relationship , if someone truly values you their ex will barely be mentioned , I dated girls that talked about their exes constantly, Even though they trashed him to me it’s still a red flag that they still put them on a high pedestal , it just shows their true character , if they were really into me then their exes would not be talked about unless I questioned them about them , but if they randomly talk about them then that girl is a waste of time , someone that truly values you will put their past behind them and look at you as their future

I would say that this type of rebound is only common amongst cheaters. She probably never stopped sleeping with her ex. Especially if you said he was abusive. He probably has this weird hold over her someway and she couldn’t break free even while she was with you. Let her sort out her life without you. Just be glad you’re not with her anymore. She sounds toxic and so does her ex. I think you deserve better.

She was playing games with you the entire time. Like you said, she lied about her age right off the bat. And as other people said, I wouldn't be surprised if she had contact with her ex long before the break up, maybe even the entire time you were together.
