What do you do to move on?

I just got broken up with , I love this man completely. Break up is still fresh less than a month old. But I’ve never felt so strongly for anyone. And I’ve tried to rekindle things and get back together, it looks like that’s not going to happen. what tips do you have for me to help me move on. I’m thinking about going. I contact, but we agreed on being friends and we still talk several times a week. I don’t want to lose this man completely. But I do recognize I need to move on.. please any advice would be helpful

Think back to before you and he met, and ask yourself this..

If I was told that he and I would be together for (Insert how long you were together here) and then break up.. would I still of dated him?

In other words was the break up worth the time you and he shared? If so, then you treasure that time and always be thankful for it. After all, the love of your life can always break away but one thing that will never happen and this is you will never lose the history.. that UNIQUE history that only you and he shared. That will stay with you your whole life..

There is nothing you can do more than forgive and love yourself. Instead of trying to find out what might have gone wrong, choose to put your time and attention into someone who needs you more right now, that is ‘you.’ Give your mind and body more time to grieve and accept reality. You did your part, and if the other person isn’t willing to make things work out anymore, there’s no point in staying. You gave a lot to the relationship, and it’s time to stop and give yourself some credit. Love yourself before you commit to someone else.

What you need to do is stop contacting him. It seems hard at first but just talking to him makes him feel like he still have access to you regardless of breaking up or not. Whatever the reason he broke up with you he’s gonna stand by it and you don’t want to come off as pushy, begging and pleading. Trust me, I did it all and it’s not a good look.

First you do not want to be friends. If you are honest with yourself you are just hoping you will get back with him.
Allow yourself to mourn the relationship. It is a process and it takes as long as it takes. If you have a good friend that will let you complain about how sad you are that may help too.
Find a new interest. Try to do something positive. Lose ten pounds, quit smoking, get a new hair style or some other thing.

I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s hard to move on, but I would suggest allowing yourself to feel, to go through the emotions. Bottling them up, or pushing them aside could do more harm than good.
