I just broke up with my online boyfriend?

We were supposed to meet next year in person and start living together but due to some unavoidable issues and time differences, he said we should call it off. Truth is it was easy for him to say that because I feel he was never there in the relationship as seriously as I was. For me, the time difference wasn’t an issue because I stayed up late for him whereas he always stayed busy and sometimes even went total ghost for 48 hours without letting me know that he was busy. Now he ended the sentence like “expected you to be more understanding than this with my nature of the job” I think we should call things off. He blamed me in the end. why are guys like this? I did everything in my power to make things work and this is what I get and it's not fair at all. Tell me, was it my fault?

As someone who was in one, the only thing I can say is that nevermet LDR are extremely risky and they don't give any guarantee.

Give yourself time to heal and please avoid those type of relationships🙏. Seek someone in person—eventually— because in LDR —specially in nevermet relations—the chances of things going down hill are greater.

I'm sure we went a few times of just not texting for 48 hours and us doing other things during our LDR. But we knew each other for years, in-person, had sex and all the like so it's a bit different versus not having met someone where 48 hours is likely a bigger deal. Just about being respectful and knowing the pulse of someone.
