Sentimental gifts?

My ex still has a gift tag that I wrote from either Valentine's Day or something I can't remember which, up on the cupboard door handle. We split over 3 months ago. I put it there the day he got it. He's not yet took it down or put it away. Why is this? As it's in plain sight so obviously see it everyday.
