Why did my ex send me this insulting email?

Me and my ex boyfriend of 4 years broke up last September

It got toxic so I walked away - it was a really bad break up

There was no contact after

Until on new years day - he sent me a rude message/email saying:

- happy new year sl*t

- no guy will ever want me

- im ugly

- my friends will not stay forever

- messaging me because im nothing

- im just a "tap and dump"

- guys only would f*ck me if they're desperate or no other option

Why is he sending me this?

It was New Year's, so he was feeling sorry for himself because he didn't have a girlfriend anymore. He was probably drunk. He wanted to ruin you New Year because he blames you for dumping his sorry ass and leaving him single.

A-holes tend to see themselves as victims because they are incapable of accepting responsibility for their own actions and behavior.

By sending you that email, he only proved that you were right to kick him to the curb. Good riddance to bad trash.

Don't take any of what he said to heart. It was bullshit. He was just lashing out trying to hurt you.
