Was this the right thing to do or should I have been bullied?

A number of months ago back in April myself and my ex girlfriend were going to the grocery store in my car and she has a thing about bullying and making fun of things I have going on. So rather then argue about it and go back and forth I pulled over to a safe side of the sidewalk and she walked home. I was ridiculed by her, her mom and her friends like I’m confused do I just let her bully me do I just take the abuse I also did it better then the way she did it because we had a disagreement once and we was in the middle of traffic and she told me to get out of the car. Lastly this ended up being the reason for the breakup she said I couldn’t be with a man who just puts me out of his car and forces me to walk home

doesn't really matter. you both are in the wrong and behaving poorly. no one deserves to be bullied. partners who care about each other don't put each other out of cars in the middle of traffic. drive them home and then be done with it right?

it sounds like you both tend towards levels of abuse and better off not together or with anyone until you figure out better ways to handle disagreements, anger/frustrations, etc

Well I made sure she was safely on the sidewalk because also as a new driver I didn’t want to argue cause it was stressing me out

You should have dropped her off at her house and ended the relationship. Making her walk home wasn't cool.
