Why did my ex follow my cousin?

Okay I had this ex situationship and everything ended because he got jealous of my guy best friend. So it’s been 6 months after that. And, he recently followed my cousin. He knows who she is because I would post her and I would tag her and he waited until now to follow her. And, i feel bothered by it. I don’t have any feelings for him anymore it’s just weird.

That is pretty weird. Like why is he following your cousin all of a sudden after 6 months? Makes it seem like he's still watching you or something even though you're not together anymore. A few possibilities I can think of:

- He's trying to get information on you through your cousin. Like see what you've been up to or who you're hanging out with now.

- He wants to bother/make you jealous by being connected to your family on social media.

- He's not over you yet and this is some way of staying loosely connected to your life.

- Total long shot, but I guess maybe he legit started crushing on your cousin from the pics he's seen? Unlikely though after all this time.

Whatever the reason, it is pretty sketchy behavior on his part. I'd let your cousin know the backstory in case he tries messaging her or something dodgy. And honestly, I wouldn't even give it more thought yourself. Dude's your ex for a reason. Clearly still some issues there if he's pulling moves like this. Just ignore and don't let him live rent free in your head!
