I'll be honest with you. Every ex I had (not many) always reached out back to me after I backed off and cut all forms of contact. I didn't go no contact with the intention of getting them back in fact I never gave a second chance to anyone I did it because for me cutting off all forms of contact after a break up is a must. They all reached out in a couple of months when I was no longer into them. Don't do no contact with the expectation that they will reach back because they might never reach out. Backing off after breakup is the right thing to do in order to move on.

Yes, if you're consequent. Usually you have mutual friends they try to exploit and when you explain those friends why you dumped them, if it sounds credible, you won't have any problems.
