Why did my ex look at my LinkedIn profile almost a year after the breakup?

I was in a 4-year relationship with my ex before he ended things about a year ago. I didn't block him on social media but removed him (since my pages are private) and his family, even though he wanted to be connected on Instagram at least. It took a toll on my mental health to see that he can still view my pages, so that's why I removed him. I didn't block his phone number either; I just deleted it because he's not the type to message me unnecessarily unless he's serious about getting back together. Recently, though, he viewed my LinkedIn profile even after I removed him as a connection a while ago. I'm assuming he was just curious, but is there a possibility that he is trying to reconcile with me? His family texts me occasionally to "check in" and see how I'm doing.

Dang girl, that is kinda weird that your ex looked at your LinkedIn after so long. Like what was he thinking checking you out after a whole year? I know breakups can be rough, but he needs to move on already!

I wouldn't read too much into it though. He's probably just bored and felt nosy honestly. LinkedIn is pretty public info, so he probably just wanted to snoop and see what you've been up to with work and stuff. I doubt he actually wants to get back together.

And his family still bugging you too? Lame. They all need new hobbies or something besides creeping on your life! Don't give him or them the satisfaction of thinking it still bothers you.

Just keep doing your thing. Who cares what they see online? As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. Try not to stress - I'm sure he was just being nosey. He'll get over it eventually. You're better off without all that drama anyway!

that's true, it doesn't make sense at all that they're still contacting me. I get that they developed a relationship with me too while i was with their son, but i told them that i'm uncomfortable talking to them especially since he told me to stop contacting them as well. But if he's snooping and curious, wouldn't that lead to him wanting to get back together though since i'm on his mind after all this time?

Ugh yeah, I can understand why you'd still be thinking about this dude if he's snooping on your stuff out of nowhere. It's definitely weird that he and his family are still poking around after such a long time. Part of me would be wondering what's up with that too if I were you.

But honestly, I still wouldn't get my hopes up about him wanting to reconcile. Some dudes are just nosy and can't let stuff go even when they're the ones who ended it, ya know? And his fam seems like they're meddling too much still.

If he really wanted you back, he'd grow a pair and reach out directly instead of this creepin' online BS. I'd say try your best not to read into it too much. Dude clearly had his chance with you and blew it already.

Keep doing your thing and moving forward. If he changes his mind and grows a spine to talk to you straight, then maybe you can consider it. But I wouldn't sit around waiting or let this distract you from other opportunities either. Hope that makes sense, boo! Let me know if he gets less weird.

i am moving on, but, weirdly, he is thinking about me after all this time apart. I couldn't imagine trying to go to the lengths of LinkedIn to see what he was doing now.
