Why did my ex-boyfriend add me on Facebook after a year?

This morning I woke up to a friend request from my ex-boyfriend. I dated him when I was a freshman in high school till the beginning of my senior year. After our break up I blocked him off Facebook and he blocked me off Twitter. Our break up happened a little over a year. We stopped talking; I mean it was just bad! But anyway we broke then a couple months later I moved on. So anyway after year he makes a new Facebook account. So what does this mean? I posted a picture of me, my boyfriend and 2 of our friends and he liked it. I feel kind of weird cause keep in mind this guy hated me. I should hate him too but I don’t hold grudges. Also I looked at his Facebook and it said he was in a relationship with someone else. I kind of felt my heart shatter. Yeah it’s wrong because I have a new boyfriend who I adore so much and glad he’s in my life and everything I ever needed and wanted from a guy. My ex-boyfriend was my first real boyfriend that my family met (even though they hated him) and he was my first everything. I will always care for him but the tough things we went through make it impossible for us to get back. I’m just putting it out there because you guys might think I want him back but I don’t. It’s just I had strong feelings for him, my first love and unfortunately things didn’t work out for us. So is it okay to have him as a friend, should I block him and what would be the reason that he added me? Also he sent my boyfriend a friend request and he approved it. We talked about it (My boyfriend & I) and thought you know we have no problem with him so it’s okay to have him as a friend on Facebook.

These social networking sites are meaningless for the most part. Sounds to me like you guys are over thinking it. Most people add people on FB just for the sheer fact of having a bunch of friends on there. They'll add anyone and accept any request. I obviously don't know if he is one of those people but its just an idea. It gets kind of interesting when he starts commenting and liking your stuff. This could mean he wants to reconcile or it could mean nothing at all. Honestly without knowing him or more about him and you I just throwing s*** at the wall to see what sticks. Don't over think it and enjoy what you have now. That's really all I can say.
