What do you do when someone breaks up with you?

I feel so lost right now. My boyfriend broke up with me and I don't know what to do. I just want to get my mind off it because it's driving me crazy. I feel even more depressed now than ever before.

yeah that'll hurt for awhile. but the good news is, time heals all. you cannot control this situation, but you can control how you react to it and get yourself through it

a few suggestions to get through the days:

take your day and put it into small goals/manageable tasks

do something kind for yourself, some self care, like taking a shower or a bath, eating your favorite food, watching your favorite show or a new show you've been wanting to watch

cliche, but exercise some of that pent up energy out. or do some stretches

focus on the present instead of dwelling on those negative thoughts. let it be. feel those sad feelings and then let them go to grieve for another time. only allow yourself to focus on the hurt for a short while, don't stay there forever

let out some emotions in a creative way like drawing/writing, etc

a few suggestions to better yourself:

develop new skills like a language or a hobby

educate yourself (whatever subject that may be)

self reflect, take time to reflect on your experiences and behaviors by journaling (super helpful)

surround yourself with supportive and positive people who encourage you

Have you ever had a job you did for a while.. and when you quit or left the job you realised what a huge whole you have in your life. And the next few months you feel a lot more empty. Then eventually when you start a new job and get involved and start to become familiar with the people and routine and situation there and get attached to the new place.. suddenly the old place isn't that important anymore.
This is sort of what its like. Try and imagine your future self in a situation where you are attached and involved and distracted by new people and situations. Realise that this new attachment always arrives. Whether its with a new person or new situation. A new distraction arrives eventually. Remember that. And strive towards creating that new distraction asap =)

It's depressing but inevitable. Accept the relationship's end as a fleeting moment that doesn't define you. Surround yourself with supportive and caring friends and family. Avoid rebound relationships, harmful habits, or alcoholic drinking. Focus on self improvement and cherish the positives in your life. This phase will pass, and you'll emerge stronger. First thing you take a moment to realize what really happened you have to be 100% honest with yourself

Whether it was justified or not you have to accept it and once you accept it it's a little bit easier..

And then you either just kick back relax you talk with friends you come on here if you have friends here talk with them if you don't. Then meet somebody and talk with them.. . But you have to stay busy.

. I personally would go to a roleplay site or app and want to role play with somebody something very hot and passionate.. . Because I want to feel something...

But it's going to drive you crazy until you don't want it to anymore and that's usually when you're busy and you're doing other things are you started talking with somebody

My uncle who passed away over 10 years ago said - think about who you want to be with - think about what this person wants in a wife - then become that person. If you work on yourself - you will have new prospects that are just as good or better than the previous one. Break ups are a normal event in contemporary times, and you have to acknowledge that if you want to lower the risk of depression if it somehow happens to you. You still have yourself and you still have the things you invested in over the years.

Go right back to chillin like a villain. I just detach, I give myself a timeline to feel my feels. Once I cried three days and moped around because of a guy. I got all my feels out and allowed myself to be upset and no one was really in my way to interfere nor inserted their opinions so I was fine. I found something realistic I didn’t like about it focused on that and rewired my brain. If I saw him today it wouldn’t be disgust or animosity he’d just kind of be a stranger to me and hopefully he’s living a life that makes him happy.
