When do you think a person should reach the acceptance phase in a breakup?

I think I've finally reached the acceptance phase. It's been a little over 2 months since he broke up with me but this was the first weekend I didn't feel the urge to contact him. I think I am seriously getting over him.

First, If they broke up with you, it's probably going to take a longer time. If you broke up with them, I'm guessing you've thought this out many times and you're already to move on and done, thus you curb stomp them out of the picture. You were already done and moved on in the latter example.

2nd, It depends on what the breakup was about as well. Like, you probably need to do some self work if you realize the major reasons for it not working out was you. Like, if you realize you're such a piece of shit that you can't make it work with that person... you either are going to take the weak way out and demand that the world provide you with even more of a beta simp that will cow tow to your wants and desires... or... you'll do some work on yourself and be able to maintain what you had.

But the second choice is obviously yours.

I got broken up with by a chick just cheating and leaving... so I hit the weights. She came back begging and I proceeeeded to fuck her friends, her mom, and every woman there is for revenge purposes... sure I could've made it work with her again... but I'm buff now... If it takes 30 days to form/break a good/bad habit I think it's reasonable to assume that 60 days to accept a breakup is totally reasonable. Just hope you're ok. 🤗

Some people come to acceptance more quickly than others. Also, it depends on how long you're IN a relationship.

The longer you're in, more than likely, the longer it takes to get over it. But some people were in the dead end of their relationship so long, when the break came, the death had occurred long before.

There isn’t really a set time limit , it just comes down to your own decision and feelings on whether you can move on or not , a break up is kind of like grieving over the loss of a loved one , there is no set time limit on how long you grieve for. Some people can move on fast and some can’t , so again it’s up to you on what you choose to do. There is no set time that is the same for everyone.
Some know it is coming and they can be over it faster, others think things are fine and get blind sided by the news.
I had one where I was going to call her the break it off, it just wasn't going anywhere, but she beat me and called me.
She couldn't understand why I seemed happy about the news.

There is no timeline for this. You feel what you feel when you feel it. And there are external factors that affect it. Like for example a break-up f***ed me up for an entire year once. But I had to see her and interact with her everyday. That made it infinitely Harder.
