Been discussing this with a friend for a while and wondering how others think about it. Basically when is a relationship between 2 people over. For me, my boyfriend said that everything was okay between us, then just ghosted me (after 1.5 together). Later he said he had realised that it had been over between us for a while. Last time we were together I asked him if we were still okay, and according to him we were. For me, that felt like we were still together (still had sex also), though he had already started seeing someone else.
So, what would you consider a relationship to be over. Once you lose your feelings for someone? once you don't see them anymore. Does it need to be said in order for it to be over? If one thinks you're still together but the other hasn't said anything, is it already over? are you still together when you sleep together and no one said anything about the status being different?
Just curious how people think, when would you consider your relationship to be over and does it need to be verbally acknowledged?
