Boyfriend hides his Ex comments?

Me (F28) met my boyfriend (M27) a year ago, and we became official 7 months ago. He was with his ex for 6-7years, they were seeing each other until a month before we met. He still has her comments on his instagram. I asked if he could delete them because he has moved on and I’m not comfortable with that.

I’ve deleted all pictures and comments from my ex because it was time to let go and move on. I was on his phone a few days ago and saw 6 comments on one post I randomly clicked on, but it showed no comments except a button saying ”hidden comments”. I didn’t press it but I asked and he said it’s his ex comments, they are hidden.

I didn’t know how to react so we moved on from this. But I can’t help feeling a little heartbroken. We are talking about starting a family and getting engaged. Why didn’t he delete them? What’s so precious with the comments from his ex? Isn’t it time to move on?

lol... why do you want to cut him off from his past? moving on doesn't mean forgetting... she is his ex, but it doesn't mean he has to remove her pics and comments... if they bring positive memories, why remove them?

his past is part of him... as yours is part of you... accept it and move on... and if you have any insecurities... work on them... don't control other people's lives and choices...
