Did heartbreak get easier as you got older?

Yes and no. I definitely got a much more calm and level headed when dealing with these incidents. My intuition has improved and I can sense and mentally prepare myself for problems much better then I could when I was much younger. Also the days of the “I’m special” entitlement feelings are long behind me. As a man I know damn well I’m not special for just existing.

But on the sad flip side the depressing truth is you have fewer options the older you get. At least when your young you can tell yourself there always be other options. Not so now.

It still hurts. A lot. But I can usually come out of it and put it in some wider context. It's not as all consuming. You think the world is going to end.

I suppose it depends on your social connections, your life generally. If you've got good friends, family, things are going well for you in general, then you feel supported.

However, loneliness can be brutal for those with little.

Easier as we have more experience with life. When we are younger we feel like it’s the end of the world, nothing has sense anymore. When we are older we understand that feelings can change, we are more mature about it. It still hurts but not the same way as when we are teens

Yeah I'm now doing it on the daily and I just don't feel a thing it would be foolish to even call breakups a heartbreak at this point
