Does heartbreak get easier the second time?

i have had two major heartbreaks. I always thought that after the intensity and severity of the first on that I would be able to handle anything and that it could never get worse than this and that I would be better prepared for next time and it would eb wasy easier. wow was I wrong. the second one hurt so much more than the first which I didn't even think was possible. probably because I thought this time he really was the one and so when it didn't work out it stung even worse because I had all my hopes and dreams shattered. if you love someone truly and deeply doesn't matter if its your first or 100th it never gets easier.

the specific instance of heartbreak gets easier over time, but having gotten your heart broken before does not EVER soften heart breaks in the future. And if it did, it means you've guarded yourself so much that you didn't let the person in enough to feel for them which is probably why you broke up. And healing depends on how deeply you felt for the person. Some wounds take a few days to heal over, some leave mental scars that will last for years, maybe your entire life

The 2nd time usually not. After 4-5 times you start to get that I don't care attitude because you know through experience that in time you won't give a crap anyways. You skip the heartbreak altogether & move right onto the "finally, I'm over them part", usually takes about a day. My 2nd time took a year to get over it.

No way. I've been in love twice and the first loss crushed me for years on end. I relocated and basically started life over only to have it happen again. It's always devastating. But I went about things differently on time to in order to prevent that pain, so it hurt much worse.
