Why do women take back a man who cheated on them?

A relative came to me the other day with evidence that her husband was cheating on her. She had recorded the cheating conversations and asked me to save the recordings onto a flash drive, so I did as she asked. I told her she should go to court and file for divorce, but she said she would wait. I said okay. Then she went home, and her husband won her over again very easily, and she accepted it. They are still married. Isn't this strange? Normally, if a woman cheats on her husband, that relationship doesn't recover. But when a man cheats, unless it's emotional cheating, the woman easily accepts him back, and the relationship even becomes stronger. Why is this the case?

Women psychology. We want what other women have or want. Even more if the other woman is younger or more attractive.

Women are different than men. When we cheat its not because sex is freely available or because another man is attractive, no its because we are unsatisfied in the relationship & are seeking to replace our man with a man who we believe is superior. Maybe taller, makes more money, stronger, smarter, better in bed and maybe a bigger dick. That's why men usually won't take back a cheating woman because we are unsatisfied and will only cheat again.

hard true, I also heard that when women talk among themselves, they console a cheated-on woman by saying, “If it’s just a one-night stand, it’s no big deal.” So, it seems women aren’t bothered by their partner physically sleeping with someone else or having sex; instead, women are jealous of the comfort, power, and security their man provides to other women.

Truthfully women are the worst friends. We encourage other women to engage in immoral behaviour and will falsely console and comfort a cheated on woman as well as encouraging other women to destroy a happy marraige for an affair. We pander to each other's narcism

I've never seen a man who could take back a cheating woman if he can take her back, I doubt he's a man.

You have it backwards, she usually initiated divorce, he usually takes her back.

It’s true that in an average marriage, 80% of divorces are initiated by women, but there’s an exception: when a man cheats, women initially get angry, but they’re more likely to forgive and take him back compared to a man in the same situation. I’ve encountered this scenario twice.

Tbh, it's slim pickings out there so sometimes a girl feels desperate to settle with the best she's had... and sometimes that's still a giant dbag, but it's HER giant dbag. Go figure.

I 100% agree that women's mindset operates with a selectivity aimed at finding the best. After a certain age, due to the fear of not finding someone better, they hold onto what they have even if their husbands cheat on them. i even think some women enjoy it, thinking, “My husband is a valuable man, so other women want him too,” and feeling happy about it. But I can't prove it.

No as someone whose hubby cheated on her I can tell you I didn’t feel flattered at all. (What kind of logic is that?)

If a man has emotionally cheated and left you behind, of course it's a sad situation. But if like in this example, he only had a one night stand and came back, even saying he's regretful, I think most women would take him back.
