I am wrong for not letting my ex sleep in my house?

When my ex wife comes over with the children, sometimes she stops for the night which is find with me since I moved 100+ kilometers away.

I have a nice dépendance on my property (guesthouse for non Europeans), and prepare it for her. She says it's not necessary, jokes she can sleep just fine in my living room.

I tell her, if the dépendance is not to her taste, she's free to find herself an hotel or a bench in the park.

Giving her a place to stay overnight is very generous. Let her spend the night in the same house with you and any other girl will have a reason to question whether your relationship with the ex has truly ended.

Divorced... its not appropriate, especially if you have another mate.

Separated, is ok for rebuilding relationship.

Fruit doesn't fall far from it's tree... it appears you are repeating the pattern of your father whom you loved...

and you see how that turned out for you...

What would you do for an acquaintance that you knew but were not necessarily very close to? Your hospitality. It is a matter of respect. It doesn't matter what she did to you, or what she said or what happened. It's all about you. It's not what you owe her. It's what you owe Yourself and God.
