Did my ex lowkey betray and use me while seeing someone new?

I broke up again with my boyfriend for 3 years on December because of a lot of things and Becusee he didn’t want to work. We talked again agreed to stay in touch and just take a break then he asked me if I want to do the deed and we did. February he started to distance himself then we had a talk about how we want to meet each other half way and that he missed me and is so horny for me. Then my instinct found out that he’s been talking to someone and I asked him, he told me he stopped messaging her and that everyone is so boring. He bought me flowers for Valentine’s and took me home occasionally. He held my hand on my birthday last month and he told me that he would be sad if I found someone new. Then he started distancing himself again. He told me last week that he still loved me, just not the same but he still cared for me wanting to take me home and will be here whenever I need him he will show up or watch my cats for me. I told him that if he found someone new just tell me, I will walk away. As he said that, he distanced himself again saying he didn’t check his message or his telegram notification wasn’t working. I was in a vulnerable spot and felt the need to rely on him (I know I shouldn’t) and I asked him if he’s seeing someone else? He said he didn’t have to explain me anything and I. Said I deserved this much for what he did to me. He finally said he’s “talking” to someone and the next day his “girlfriend” messaged me through his phone on his account saying “hi I’m his girlfriend, so yeh, what’s wrong?” And I never felt so low. He could have been honest with me but he didn’t and at the end of the day, he’s a coward and let his “girlfriend” messaged me instead. It’s only been 3-4 months after we took a break and he told me to be good friends and he offered to help me move my stuffs and all that. I feel used and a little bit low. He tried so hard to hide her from me and never posted anything about her and now he still avoided telling me.
