I'm her first love, but she still left me.

I was in a relationship with a 20 year old girl over the course of 2 years. 2 weeks ago, she ended our relationship saying that she "didn't know if I was the person that God called her to be with."; that we should "just be friends.", at least for now.

I've had other break-ups before. I'm not crazy. I know that the whole friend thing is a way of having her cake and eating it too. So, I haven't called her in several days, trying the No-Contact thing and getting myself together.

I was her first for everything: her first kiss, first boyfriend, and first (and hopefully only) lover. (She grew up in a stricter home than most)

I was a great guy to her; perhaps too nice at times.

So my question is:

Will she come back, given that I'm her first everything?

Or am I just a test drive?

Will me doing No-contact hurt my chances, considering that I am her first, or should I stick to my guns?

Dude holy crap I had the same thing happen to me recently! My girl of a year just recently left me because she wanted to know what it was like to date other people. I was her first kiss, lover, and the first she trusted to make love with. I know that last one is HUGE for girls. Especially her because she was also firmly rooted in a stricter religious background, and was very hesitant to at first. Once I proved I genuinely loved her, she melted. She was CRAZY about me, and I would always show my love for her through extravagant gifts and stuff on birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. I'm not one to fall in love, but I did with her. FAST. It was just so passionate and amazing, so you can imagine I've been quietly going insane these past few months without her. I'm a Sag and she's a Pisces, so she's WAY more emotional than I am. I think those differences we didn't understand about each other may have been part of the downfall. I still think she loves me though. I'm not good with expressing emotions, so I poured my heart out on a letter the day after it ended. It made her cry, and we had a real tearful goodbye with plenty of hugs and kisses. Not a normal breakup if you ask me, which tells me my little Pisces will come swimming back to me eventually! :)

I know man, I think it's just how society has messed with the youth's mind. I know for a fact her friends were telling her to break it off because they have ALWAYS been jealous of what we had. I'm not making excuses because I know I was at fault sometimes during the relationship, but I would always apologize if I hurt her and vice versa. No relationship is perfect, but we NEVER fought. I think once she stops listening to outside influences and following her heart, the girl will come back IF the relationship contained a genuine love and plenty of good times for her to remember. Because even though she may be "ignoring" you, those memories of her first boyfriend that courted her so well CAN"T be ignored in her mind when she's all alone.

The mind of a woman is a very malleable thing, especially when they've been sitting in front of a damn TV all their life getting their brain pumped full of Liberal bullshit. They see all these pretty woman on tv cheating and having affairs and getting a new boyfriend every other week, and they think that's normal.

First boyfriend/girlfriend is always the most painful one.. she has her reasons why she broke up with you. do you know why?

Its hard to get over your ex especially if he/she is your first in everything.

There's a chance of her coming back but it all depends on you. if you continue no-contacting thing with her, she might think a lot of negative stuff such as "he doesn't want to be with me anymore" ect..

There is a reason why you two lasted 2 years, its called love.

So aslong as both of you's still have feelings then there's ALWAYS a chance.

Even if you were her first for everything doesn't mean she will come back to you. I ended things my ex after 4 years, and he was my first for everything, because I didn't love him anymore, and in that 4 years span I changed a lot, but he never changed, he stayed exactly the same and in the end we weren't compatible anymore.

I don't mean to say you were a "test drive" but maybe she didn't feel the same way about you than when you first started dating.

You said she wasn't your first, so think about the reasons your not with your first girlfriend anymore.
