There is a possibilty male and female say things sometimes without thinking or the person doesn't actually think the other would agree with it. Logically people think that the other would disagree with them and ask why. So there is a slight chance but if the person is done then that is it.

That... or they could just be relieved that you agreed instead of making a scene about it, which would have been more sh*t than they cared to deal with.

It CAN be a wakeup call, but more often than not it[s a wave goodbye, in fact. Unless someone immediately drops their guard and agrees to change their ways, the hurt feelings will make it impossible to get back together...

It raises the possibility of them reconsidering. But the end all be all is that if someone doesn't want to be with you, they don't want to be with you. If you love somebody set them free

yeah if you agree to it, then you have to be OK with it for yourself. You can't just agree and hope they change their mind.

which it can in more ways than one. Talk of a break up will raise questions of doubt. Once the seed of doubt is planted in each others minds it can be hard to remove.
