Taking a break = Breaking up?

Why do couples often want to take a break yet ended up breaking up? Were there really no solutions to salvage the relationship?

In my case it was because both me and my ex were grinding out the good parts of being togheter. The adventure, the lust, the pure feel good of having two arms to snuggle in between.

We had some bad times and the ugly mojo got stuck. I couldn't give her what she wanted nor gain what i longued for myself.

Ended up with bad communication and took each other for granted. Hard to foresee aswell even if it really wasn't, she was just as shocked as I was when we ended it. But we did it as friends that can still say Hi. if we see each other again somewhere 😁

I was blind, I thought she was my girl and we'd grow old togheter. Lasted barely 5 years and I'm a better person dor it.

I will never forget what she taught me! Bless her

taking a break is having some alone time to yourself only to get back together
a break up is having some alone time and never getting back together
the first one is simply a code to describe the second one which is the actual truth

it can't be fixed. a committed relationship is a committed relationship.
there's no such thing as a part-time husband/wife just as there's no such thing as a part-time father/mother. once it begins, you have to go through with it until the end. there's no break in between and where they end is, only those involved in the relationship decide.

Taking a break is... just not. You can't just take a break when things get rough in human relationships. A mother can't take a break from her child, a wife can't temporarily divorce her husband for a few months (or the other way around). You're either in it or not. They should either work it out or break up. Of course, it could depend on the situation, though.

Well i belive , A break from someone will either make you realize how much you truly miss/love them or how much peace you have without them.
