My ex boyfriend never moved on?

It has been four years since my ex, and I have broken up. It was a semi-serious relationship, and we loved each other very much. We ended on good terms, and I have since somewhat moved on. Nothing serious, but have tried dating here and there.

The other day, I ran into one of his really good friends. He is my ex's best friend, and we talked for a little bit. I eventually worked up the nerve to talk ask about my ex, and asked who he was dating, or if at all. His best friend told me that my ex never dated anyone afterward, and hasn't slept nor kissed another girl since me. My ex is a very good looking man, and never had trouble getting women.

During the middle of our relationship. He told me that he probably would never date again after me. At first I thought he was kidding, but here four years later... It has been confirmed that he obviously hasn't. His best friend has always been honest with me, and I trust him fully on this... I just don't know what to think about this. He says my ex is doing amazingly well at his job, and has been really turned into the guy that does a lot of volunteering and helping others. So, at least he isn't sitting around mopping in his room, but is it true that he may never date again?

listen let me tell you something. I dated an American girl and moved from the uk to be with her in NYC. the relationship in total lasted one year. it took me 5 years to get over that and I never was with anyone else. for some men it takes along time to get over a relationship. there are probably many reasons why. probably the same for some women too. sounds like you're asking the question that there is a part of you that still likes/loves this guy. well if there is have no doubt that this guy will at some point move on and when he does it will be permanent. so you need to decide if you're willing to give it another go or move on as well. all the best.
