My ex dumped me, but now he's in hospital!?

He broke up with me for college. I was upset and he brushed me off and acted like he didn't care, so we haven't talked. We were best friends before the relationship for a year. We broke up two months ago. We've both been doing well at college and I'm over it (the relationship only lasted two months) and obviously he is too since he dumped me... and I found out that he's been admitted to hospital for serious injuries. Should I go visit him? Or send him a card at least? Or would that just annoy him.

1) Ignore nose-picking twits that suggest a text message "get well" for someone in bad enough shape to be in the hospital is sufficient. 2) There isn't a great way to break up with someone who hasn't done you wrong, but he at least did it cleanly, didn't treat you like crap for months leading up to it, so he's not the worst guy I've seen described. 3) You clearly still care for him, at least get him a $2 card and visit if he's not too far away. Just because he wasn't wise enough to see how wonderful you are doesn't mean you should hide your fantastic character. :)

So the romance is dead and buried for both of you. Then the decent thing to do is contact him and tell him you're sorry about his injuries and wish him a speedy recovery. It's what old friends do for one another.

No, its best to keep you distance. Leave the past in the past. It would be different if you two were still friends or talking, or if you had a more serious history, but since you haven't been talking, and you don't have a more serious history, I would suggest that you just ignore the issue and keep enjoying your life!

Picture the situation when you'd actually visit him. Wouldn't things be awkward? What will his facial expression be when he sees you? How will you respond if he becomes mean to you?

But those are just what if's though.

To avoid the possible what ifs, might as well try texting him. Wish him well. :)

No we are a bunch of idiots who don't know a good thing when its staring us straight in the face, you deserve better and nothing else. Don't go down that road again and seek what you desire the most and that is a loving partner who will sweep you off your feet and worship the ground you stand on. There are many guys out there who will be perfect for you so take your time and it will happen. You'll make someone really happy some day very soon. So don't let me catch you with that bloke again!

i think the best thing to do is send him a text and tell him you hope he's okay.

i would only send one though because if he is over you he obviously won't want you to bug him.
