Why "you'll find someone" is a terrible, hurtful thing to say to someone.

If/when a woman tells me "you'll find someone," I always imagine "it just won't be me" at the end of it. Then after that, "she'll be someone fat and desperate." At which point I am filled with despair. So, you see, saying "you'll find someone" who knows how the world works is really quite hurtful.

If you are addressing someone of complementary sexual orientation, please don't ever say "you'll find someone" unless you are that person to be found, at which point phrase it "you already found someone."
