Because it's better to get a free meal. And it's better to date a guy who has enough money to pay for dates.
I'm not saying this is good or right, and you are free to refuse to pay for dates. But women are also free to refuse to date you if you don't pay.
Either a very single life awaits you unless you were to change your traditional, hypocritical, ludicrous views, or an unfortunate heartbreak awaits for boyfriend/future partners that you mooch off of. You are the type of person people would stay away from, and are definitely far from being the most pleasant in comparison. You are by far one of the most hypocritical women I have ever met. Hopefully you're a better person outside of these views, but I hope to never see you again. I will not block you, but your views are very controversial. Good luck in this foreseeable future.

I feel as a guy, that if I felt the woman I was dating thought as you do, I would not find her worth the effort. Relationships have give and take, but all see from what you said is take. I won't go out with someone that I don't already know reasonably well. It may j us be a relationship based on friendship, but I have a relationship long before I ask them out. However, when I ask, I intend to pay for the date because I want to.

Gold diggers could be argued to use the very same logic, what an interesting coincidence that money happens to be the very same thing that gold diggers consider to be a deal breaker or deal maker. People can be manipulated and still 'have a choice'. You're not in the clear just because you didn't think it was manipulation. Women like you are using the prisoner dilemma to get what they want, whether they are 'trying' to be manipulative or not is irrelevant.
Prisoner dilemma is when the best possible outcome can only be achieved by both parties working together, but both parties have the option of betraying the well being of the other person so that while their own benefits are greater, the other person gets screwed. There are 3 possible way for the game to go, both people can work together, both people can screw over the other person, or one person can be cooperative which makes them the sucker because the other party betrayed them for their own benefit. By completely removing the possibility of working together, you ensure that the only options in the game for the male are to be the sucker, who still gets to keep playing but at a significant disadvantage to themselves, or they can also betray the female, in reality doing nothing more immoral than what the female was trying to do, but at the cost of eliminating his ability to keep playing.
Continuing to play the game in bad faith, along with the majority of women who also play the game in bad faith, makes the best possible option (fairness and cooperation) an impractical goal. You are being manipulative. You're making the only choices for the male to either be a pushover and submit to what you want, or for him to lose the game over and over again.
Men who pay for dates aren't 'gentlemen', they're pushovers.

But I've had an epiphany. It *is* in a guys vest interest to pay. When a girl let's you pay, that's just a sign of things to come, so it can be a great filter to get rid of the gold diggers. The courts are stacked against us men (I do child support, it's my job, trust me here), we need to start screening out the filth in the beginning. Paying for 2 dinners is much cheaper than paying out tens of thousands of dollars because your relationship didn't work out. And if it helps increase your chances of getting laid, all the better, use her body like she used your wallet then toss her to the side to focus on women who are worth dating. I may have to write a myTake on this subject, a sort of public service announcement to spread my message so guys can protect themselves.

I used to always pay my share and insist. However, I've come to realise that sometimes the guy genuinely wants to do the things they consider "manly", which includes paying for my stuff sometimes and fixing things around the house that I could do. They sole reason why a woman would potentially want a guy to pay is because she wants to date a guy who is willing to provide for her. If he pays on the date it shows that he is capable of doing that. Not all women want that type of guy either, I think it's about 50/50, maybe even less. Maybe the ones who are looking for a partner like that are actually weaker and less independent than men.

The facts show us clearly that women are inferior overall compared to men, they have lower IQ, weaker physically and mentally, consume more than they produce, all of this is true in general compared to men. exceptions exist but women are primarily adapted to make children at the cost of being worse compared to men at pretty much everything else, but modern women in the west are not having nearly as many children as they used too, so essentially they are making use of the main thing that makes them valuable. Because of how the genders have adapted, men bear all or at least most of the responsibilites in society, women are not capable of handling this, and this used to be balanced by men having higher authority, but feminism has removed most of the male authority while still excluding women from bearing the same responsibility as men.
Feminists will boast how strong and independent they are 'till their car breaks or their roof leaks - then they need a man to fix it. But that's okay, they have an equal pay job now so they can hire it done.

@MrNameless wrong, it makes a difference because we are more durable and can more more and for a longer period of our lives, most of the heavy physical labour most women are not fit enough to handle that. Because of women being significantly biologically weaker than men and mentally weaker as well they are unable to handle the same responsibilities that men carry, being conscripted to war is just one of those things. There are so many things which women need which are payed for by the welfare system which is sustained by mostly male tax money. Women do not deserve the same authority as men because they cannot bear the same responsibility. period.

If they where seasonal farm families who traveled a crossed the US finding jobs on farms during different harvest times, no the mother or father was given all the wages for the family. If you where hired as a farm hand, yeah you got paid, if you where lucky and really good at your job you might even make 60 cents a day. But you tended to hire adults who could work more harder then the children.
