Cheap Date Ideas for Every Couple

My boyfriend and I are both college aged people who are poor and don't make a lot of money. He served two years in the Army. He's having a hard time adjusting to civilian life but he is about to re-enlist. I'm a nurse assistant and I am trying to save money for nursing school. So, neither of us really don't have a lot of money but here's our best ideas for reasonably cheap date nights. But at the end of the day, the cheapest date is just being with each other.

Take advantage of a free museum day

Day at the park

Roller skating

Going for a drive

Day at the beach or lake

Hang out at bookstore and find books for each other

Do a tour of each other's hometown or favorite cities

Watch each others favorite TV shows

Show each other TV shows or movies that accurately show your job

Or, watch wildly inaccurate shows or movies and you or your significant other can criticize it

State Parks

Hiking

Go out for ice cream

Explore a new city together

Head to high school sporting event

Take a class together, check out Groupon for this

Read together

Host your own massage night

I find the majority of your ideas way more appealing then the traditional dinner and a movie idea. My first date with my current boyfriend he took me to see the ruins of an old church. He knew I was a history nerd and we went out to see it. It's been two years now and in my personal opinion he hasn't managed to top that one and it was completely free. The best dates I find are the creative ones that show they really know you.

go to the dollar store get some crayons a coloring book some snacks if you want then go home and watch a movie while you color

I would love to do the majority of these dates! They are all so fun and simple! Except hiking, fuck that.

These are all excellent. Another I'd add would be to hang out on a local university campus. They're often well kept and the arcitecture is beautiful. I dunno I love the campus near my house xD

These are great ideas! You could also do picnics in the park or at a nice location. Group dates may work too, maybe one couple pays for the night out and arrange for that couple to pay. Find local activities or community center (YMCA); they're free on Fridays (where I live), take advantage of that to go play some sports together or swim together, work out together.

Hang out at the mall.

Walking and hiking are one thing I like a lot.

Sometimes just having a cup of coffee and talking is the best kind of date.
