No, it does matter. A 25 and a 20 year old? Sure. A 20 year old and a 30 year old? Mkay. A 15 year old and a 25 year old? Yeh, no. That's creepy, find someone your own age ya creep or stick to ya loli hentai.

And yes, a 51 year old dating a 19 year old is fucking creepy. She has daddy issues and he's a fuckin pedo.

Just read through some of your replies, jees I can't even. I'm not going to bother taking the time to argue with you and convince you why an adult dating and possibly having sexual relations with a frickin child is fucking creepy, I'll just hope that one day you get arrested for pedophillia.

Ja, i agree. Age is actually nothing but a number.

Who cares about age. Being happily together is what matters, not the numbers gap.

    they shouldn't

    but

like, for example, 19 year olds, should not be dating 15 year olds. it's immoral, and illegal

also, think about it, when a 28 year old, is dating a 21 year old, that means the 28 year old was 18, when the 21 was 14, that's pretty bad

Age of couples shouldn't really shouldn't matter, but in the minds of many it does. They haven't noticed Celine Dion (husband died last year at 73, she is now 50) or Emmanuel Macron (he 40, she 65).
    They're still sleeping...

I see the problem here is, you didn't talk about what you meant by "relationship" when it can be anything from a fuck buddy to a large, steady family with 14 kids and combined life insurance.

That is why you are only half right here. And he is half right as well. It just depends what kind of relationship age is involved in whether it matters or not, and how much.

@sp33d It's not semantics. Labels matter to people, for some reason, for better or worse. Especially to girls, it seems. So you're annoyed about "semantics," when I would argue that, well... yeah. It is semantics. Because occasionally, what's the substantive difference between "friends with benefits" and "boyfriend/girlfriend?" You're already having sex with each other; you already get food together sometimes; you already maybe have met some of each others' friends... what's the difference, in many cases? But there IS a difference, apparently, because words matter.

Hmm? I don't have an issue with it at all. If I did I would be trying to hide their opinions or whatever. I want people to say what they want. But if there's no logical or rational reason for someone feeling the way they feel about something, that's... not the same as having a logical or rational reason for feeling the way they do.

And I gave you a reason as to why it can be creepy. Anyone who grooms anyone is showing predatory behavior, doesn't matter what age they are. In some cases, guess what? The older man is grooming the younger girl. That is not okay. Is this true for all relationships with such a huge age gap? No.

The point I was making is that labeling anyone as "creepy," similar to "bitch" or "cunt" or any other negative label, for little-to-no reason and just because it makes you feel better, is a shitty thing to do. Which is literally what I wrote. If you disagree with that, I guess I can't help you. "They seem rather creepy to be honest," you said. Which, in my opinion, is a shitty, kind of dumb way to think.

When there’s that generational gap I start thinking get a bit weirder out. I just don’t see what they have in common. It’s not a lie that some sexually manipulative people do go after those that are significantly younger because they’re easier to Manipulate. The only older guy who ever hit on me (he was around 30) was doing this very thing, trying to take advantage of my naivety. I know other people who’ve experienced similar situations. It’s not every relationship, but it happens.

The legal age of consent is 16 in most of the United States and in most countries around the world.
And why is that "seven years in either direction" your "thing?" What if you met someone who was seven years and one day in either direction who you really liked? You'd turn them down?

... Well, no, technically seven and a day isn't seven. It's technically into the eighth. A year is just 365 days and a long series of tomorrows and yesterdays. If you're counting the seventh year as "Seven," and all its days following, that's technically the eighth year. Like if someone is seven years old, on their birthday, then that birthday is the end of their seventh year of life just like turning one year old marks one year of life. So if someone is seven and a day over, no, it's not seven. It's more than seven. So you'd turn someone down for being seven and a day?

okay lets look at this scenario you painted, the seven year old. on the seventh birthday that is the completion of the seventh year, but we dont immediately start saying that they are eight years old. at 7yo and 250 days, they are still considered to be 7. that is my way of seeing this. plus like i said id feel like a pedo going so much younger than me. older i can make some exceptions but so much younger would make me feel like jared fogle

Yes that's what we all say but technically it's wrong. And anyway, okay fine it's beside the point. So someone seven years and 364 days is still seven, within the range, and you'd be interested because how would you know, but the moment the next day comes and they're suddenly eight years out, you'd suddenly cut yourself off or something?

i dont judge im just saying this is how i would go about it. id make exceptions for older like i said but not younger because again, id feel like a pedo. more than 7 years is too young for me.

Yes it does. A normal, young person doesn't want to date an old fart unless that old fart is rich
