You might be surprised to learn how well we click. She has complained many times about her former relationships that do not understand her.
Most of the women I have dated over the past 20 years are from 19 to 27 years old, averaging 23 when we meet. They specifically dislike boys their age. You may be surprised that one of the reasons why they prefer older men is because the sex is better for them. It is just as accurate to say they are using older men for sex.
I know happily married couples of 20, 25, and even 30 year age differences.

No, it is not ego, it is the answer to a question.
I always ask the young women I go out with on the first date, "Why do you like older men?"
The number one reason is "because they don't make me pay [for a date]". They complain how boys their age expect them to pay half the cost of the date, even if the boy is the one that asked them out. They like to be taken care of.
The number two answer is "because they know what they are doing [in bed]". There isn't enough space here to list the sexual complaints I've heard of younger men. A good example with the first sex I had with one 20 year old, after having gone down on her for 20 minutes and her having enough of multiples, she sat up and exclaimed, "Now THAT'S why I like older men!" Experience matters, and so does paying attention to the girl's desires, not getting one's rocks off in 2 minutes.
Here is the funny thing. Not every girl is attracted to older men. Fine. But the ones that are seem to swear to never date a younger boy again.

That is a word for word quote.
I am not exaggerating. They specifically dislike boys. That doesn't mean that when they are 35 that they wouldn't find a 40 year old attractive, it just means they don't find 20 somethings attractive even if they are themselves.

The young women I date are more mature than other girls and boys their age. They won't go out with a 35 year old living in his parents house any more than a 25 year old who does. But the number of older men who are mature exceeds by orders of magnitude the number of younger boys who are.
They matter to some.
As long as they have logical reasons for those matters, then who cares? The issue we face is "Ooo, she's really hot." Go up to her, talk to her, she's cool, interested in her... somehow her age then comes up. And you are suddenly like "OH MY GOD YOU AREN'T THE PERSON I THOUGHT YOU WERE"
